Who we are looking for

The festival runs on people who are not in the crowd. Some of them are selling, some of them are pouring and counting people through gates, and some of them are in costume in the trees. All three are applied for here, on Saturday 26 June 2027, at Orrell Hill Woods.

  • Traders

    Food, drink and retail. Caterers, bars, and stalls selling anything from clothing to crafts.

  • Bar and stewarding

    Paid shifts on the event day. These are the two roles recruited directly, and the only two taken through this page.

  • Performers

    Actors, dancers, walkabout and aerial. Not DJs and not music artists, which are booked somewhere else entirely.

Food, drink and retail

Pitches for caterers, bars, and stalls selling anything from clothing to crafts. Tell us what you sell and how much room it needs, and we will come back to you about availability and fees.

Questions marked * have to be answered.

The menu or the range, and roughly what it costs. Be specific: a stall described as street food tells us nothing about who it clashes with.

Frontage by depth in metres, including anything that has to sit behind you.

Public liability insurance

Optional, and the most useful thing you can give us. Names and years are enough.

Before you send it

Worth knowing before you apply

  • One application is enough. Sending the same one three times does not move it up the pile, and the inbox is read by people rather than by a machine.
  • Nothing is decided quickly. Traders are allocated pitches in the spring, performers are programmed over the same stretch, and shifts are filled closest to the event. A long silence is not a no.
  • It is woodland, and it is June. Everything on site is on uneven ground under trees, in whatever the weather does. Worth picturing before you commit to a pitch or a costume.
  • Music bookings are not taken here. The performer form is for actors, dancers, walkabout and aerial acts. Anything else should go through the contact page.
